My Project
This is a simple one. The kiln we use, Bertha, we call her, is serving us well going into our 15th year at this school. But wear and tear do come into play, and thus it is that the shelves that hold up our work in the kiln when firing have taken a beating, and in one case, finally broken.
We seek to replace the broken shelf and one other that has breaking imminent in its future, so that we can continue our work unabated at full capacity.
We become limited in what we can fire with the loss of the shelves - we cannot load as many pieces - so replacing them improves our production.
