We Have to Be Fair

Help me give my students school supplies that are needed but are so rarely supplied by the school.

My Project

Coming from a Title I school, the students do not always bring the supplies needed at the beginning of the year. Which I can understand. I always call these supplies the forgotten supplies. I think parents assume that the school provides tissues or even folders when the students need them. The School Does Not! In my classroom, we are all about including everyone in the learning.

We need a wagon cart to help transport my students' tablets.

Fourth graders will drop and destroy tablets when changing from class to class. The few outlets in my classroom are located in the very back of the room, so students are constantly huddled around the back of the room working while their computers charge, making it difficult to see the board or participate in learning! We need chargers for our Amazon Fire Tablets. When little things happen during instruction, it's much easier to hand a student a bandage out of the care closet than to send them to the office and miss out on class time. I want my students to have everything they need to make sure their school year is exciting and fun, as well as productive and successful throughout the school year which includes folders and pens. We need paper towels. We must either buy it ourselves or use towels from the bathroom. I have in the past sent students to the restroom to get toilet paper, so it's not as rough on their nose
