This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 3rd grade classroom is located in a large, low-income community. We have a range of unique talents, abilities, challenges, and characteristics that blends into a one of a kind group of students.

I find that challenging my students every day has helped to build their self-esteem and confidence to move forward, even if they are not meeting grade level standards yet-they will.

Together with the students, I strive to create an environment that strengthens the desire to learn more than they knew before. I enjoy showing my students that we can learn new things and build new skills in many ways!

My Project

TIME For Kids will be used as a homework resource for my kiddos. I want them to feel ownership with this being similar to very first personal subscription every week that they bring home to read and work through.

Lots of fun and interesting topics are waiting to be unlocked each week, they will look forward to each new edition.

We use weekly homework folders so they will bring their TIME For Kids to and from school for meaningful use and discussion each morning. I can assign them assignments nightly in conjunction with their articles.

TIME For Kids also comes with a digital copy which we can utilize with the technology our district has provided. I will also be happy to share this online resource with parents.q
