I am a teacher at a Title I school in Greenville, South Carolina. My school is a high poverty school where all students receive free lunch and free breakfast.
At my school, "Every Student Counts, and Every Moment Matters!" We want the moments that matter most to be those in which our students learn not only the curriculum but life lessons that will carry them through their teenage years and into adulthood.
The students overcome obstacles every day in our school from language barriers to essential needs, but they still come to school with a smile on their face. I want to make their 5th grade year as special as possible. To do that, I need your help!
In giving to this project, you are helping my students give back and make a difference in other kids lives.
With the Unicef Kid Power Bands, my students will be able to become good global citizens and provided nourishment packs to malnourished kids around the world just by being active.
My current and future students will have the ability to help others who are less fortunate than they are. They will get a better understanding of what is going on in the world around them. So many people have poured into my students through DonorsChoose.org. This project is an opportunity for your giving to be passed on to kids around the world.
"UNICEF Kid Power takes students on a journey where their everyday activity is connected to real-world impact." Come be a part of their journey!
