This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students' stories. They are rich tapestries of an indigenous-like hope of achieving the American dream. Many of my students have sought asylum or refuge in the United States. They all seek to build, grow, learn, and provide for their own families.
We want to record and tell motivational stories of their struggle and overcoming to inspire others.
Those who have a story are often shy or fear public speaking. Yet, we want to hear what they have to say. These gifts would help build up their confidence.
