This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work as a special education teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they encounter, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences by teaching compassion and responsibility.

The students range from grades K-5 and all possess various skills, interest, and desires in learning new things.

Your donation will help with the everyday support for our classroom pet Cosmo.

My Project

The Habitat Cleaner Calcium, Juvenile Bearded Dragon Pet Food, Mini Combo Deep Dome Dual Lamp, Terra Short All Glass Terrarium, Lamp Stand, Lamp Wire Cage Lamp Fixture, Mealworms, Premium Dried Mealworms will help take care of our classroom pet Cosmo.

I work in a self-contained autism unit K-5.

My students have difficulty socially and showing empathy towards others. Our bearded dragon Cosmo has helped my students learn how to socialize with others while learning about community and habitats. They also learned about the importance of helping others and responsibility.
