Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Robots have pieces, lots of pieces. Our robot's pieces are in every nook and cranny of our classrooms and their workspace. Along with developing creative problem solving skills, our student need to develop organizational skills too!
My students are from an urban district in the Midwest.
Some are refugees, English language learners, and great robot builders. Our school is a beautiful, Hogwarts-esque place where learning and critical thinking happen daily. We try to give students real world experiences that will challenge them, and what they think their future can be.
My Project
BINS! All of these items will be used to organize our workshop. Like a garage for fixing cars, we have lots of areas that are designated for working on various parts of the robot. This will help us designate areas of our "garage" to work in, robot design, and our "shop."
Students work better in a clean, organized environment to work and develop their ideas.
Having these items will will teach our students those secondary skills of organization, cleanliness, and working in an environment in which many people are collaborating.
