My students need the Osmo Genius Kit and pizza kit to add to our iPads. The Osmo allows students to interact with the iPad in a very creative way while learning critical math and reasoning skills.

My Students

The 47 amazing students that I have the privilege to work with, live in the city. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Our urban school is unique. Not only is there a strong academic focus, there is also a focus on the arts. Music, theater, and art is highly valued and encouraged. They come to school excited to learn everyday, with many experiencing things at school that they, otherwise, may not experience. I want to keep these types of experiences happening inside my classroom!

My Project

Students love technology! Recently I got the chance to work with an Osmo and was absolutely blown away at the learning that I experienced and the fun I had. I saw a child experiencing that very same thing. I am asking for four sets of the Osmo Genius Kit so that my students can also experience this. With the Osmo, students can be creative but also have to use math, logic and a lot of reasoning skills. With the Genius Kit, students will use tangrams in a new way - not just on a sheet of paper or at their desk. The Osmo will allow their work to be interactive on the iPad screen. With the additional Pizza Kit, students will work with money and fractions. This will also build their mental math skills.
