Help me give my students an IPad Air to assist us in our reading comprehension options in the classroom.

My Students

When many people hear that I teach sixth grade, they typically cringe, and say "oh, that's not for me." However, I say it with a smile. I absolutely love my sixth graders as they show me each day how to be a kind person, how to be persistent, how to change my thinking to a better perspective, and (most importantly) how to maintain a love of learning.

My current group of sixth graders were in fourth grade when the world shut down and we went to "online school" and their current reading and comprehension abilities show it.

However, even with this limitation, these students WANT to read and better understand what they are reading

My Project

Currently, I have students who are absent often because of illness or are high risk for illness. Because of this, they often miss vital instruction. This IPad Air will be used in my classroom to digitally enhance hand-written notes that students will have access to in the classroom as well as at home. Additionally, I will be able to have students "join" us online through the IPad.

I will also be able to set up a listening station for small groups to help students who read below grade level access grade level texts.
