This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students all have Autism Spectrum Disorders. This means that they are all unique in their needs, and are all capable of very different things. Some can talk, others cannot. Some are able to write and read, others use pictures to communicate with us.
Help us turn curiosity about plants into a thriving garden made with LOVE!
All of my students are children first, and they are curious about EVERYTHING! I want to give them a chance to start seeds in our classroom, grow seedlings, take them out into our garden, and plant them in the ground. I want them to get dirty, explore nature in the middle of a big city, and learn about life cycles.
Wouldn't it be great to see them able to eat the fruit of seeds that they planted in the classroom after all of their hard work? A salad that they grew from tiny seeds might be the sweetest one ever!
