Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Greetings! I am the Exceptional Student Education Support Teacher at our school. I serve students with disabilities. My students struggle with emotional and social issues, ADHD, oppositional defiance, intellectual disabilities, have specific learning disabilities, and in foster care going from pillow to post.

Sometimes our students come to school hungry because they have not eaten the night before and remain hungry throughout the day.

Therefore, the impact of these items purchased will support in fostering their mindset while transforming lives.

The purchase of these items will be used to support some of the inconsistencies in some of the students' home lives. I feel these items will bring a lot of comfort, peace, and joy to the lives of our students. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are provided the resources that will keep their attention span, remaining focus, and on task. My students continue to strive for greatness in spite of their circumstances. As always, we thank you for your generous donation!
