My Students
Our school is an inner-city school with a diverse population. We have over 850 children walking through our hallways, speaking a variety of languages and coming from different socioeconomic backgrounds. Each day these students enter a safe learning environment and are greeted with smiles from dedicated, caring staff members.
I love to teach, and I want my students to love learning.
Language arts encompasses reading, writing and speaking, and I try to engage students by using the arts to enhance their learning. This is a challenge with a district that is underfunded. I appreciate the opportunity to help me help my students. Thank you!
My Project
Our class needs a few supplies to work on projects throughout the year. We are in desperate need of glue sticks as well as colored pencils, markers, crayons, and organizational bins to house everything.
Students will be be able to work on class projects with greater ease if they have the necessary supplies to carry out their tasks.
Throughout the year, we do many projects to enhance student learning. Our school supplies are low and many students don't have the money for their personal school supplies, and so we would be so grateful to have a class set of markers, crayons, colored pencils, and glue to create unique culminating activities each quarter.
