My Students

I have an amazing group of first graders! They love to learn new things. My students especially love to learn through technology.

My first graders are in a general education classroom.

They like to move around and learn best kinesthetically through technology. My classroom currently has a Smartboard. Students love to use the Smartboard to enhance their skills. They feel a sense of ownership in their learning when they are actively participating in these lessons.

My Project

I am asking for an Apple iPad Mini to support the use of technology in the classroom. The iPad will help enhance lessons through the Smartboard. It will also allow students to create movies, projects, etc. Students will be able to produce materials and then project them through the Smartboard. This will allow a hands on and minds on approach to their learning.

This project is really important to me.

I feel it will enhance my instruction as well as give students the opportunity to actively participate in their learning. There is a big push on research based writing and projects in the classroom. The iPad Mini will allow this research to happen.
