My Students

My amazing students are growing and learning in a small, tight-knit, school community. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers. They are our future, and I want to give them a great start to their long, successful careers.

They are excited to begin their next step in reading by starting chapter books.

With your help, I hope to make that possible!

My Project

Your generous donation to our project will improve our second grade classroom by building stronger readers. It is such an exciting time in their learning when they first realize they can read chapter books. Their faces light up after they complete their first one! These are the moments children, parents, and teachers celebrate.

It is at this point that I cannot provide enough popular chapter books to keep my students reading.

Being newer to teaching second grade, I do not have enough beginning chapter books at their levels. I would love any help you could give to provide these eager new readers with the books they need, such as books from the Katie Kazoo series and the Geronimo Stilton series.
