I am a social studies teacher at a small rural middle school in Pepperell, Massachusetts. Due to budgetary constraints, our school has limited resources to purchase new books for the revised Massachusetts social studies curriculum being instituted this year. The state wants to stress global knowledge and an emphasis on civics and citizenship. We would love to be able to provide our students with the Brittanica's program for 7th grade. It is an incredible program and it would help so much to have access to all of the up-to-date information in our ever-changing world.
My seventh grade students will be able to learn about the history and geography of the world in an engaging and innovative program developed by Brittanica. As part of the Massachusetts new social studies curriculum, 7th grade is now focused on world history and geography. I do not have any resources allocated to this new curriculum so it would be so amazing for my students to have this incredible program offered by Brittanica that is geared toward their ages. It has multiple reading levels, and is updated to include the changes that have taken place in our world in the last twenty years.
Funding isn't available so I was hoping that DonorsChoose could help us bring our students into the 21st century and create citizens that will be future leaders of our great country!
