My Project
My children are learning through their senses and are gaining insight and knowledge about themselves as they learn to cope and to socialize. Through play with sensory playdough materials and stories they will calm and soothe as they experience a day at school. The children will grow as classmates, people and learners.
Children need to express themselves through games, stories , discussion and challenging exercises that promote self regulation and safety.
These materials will be used during large group morning meetings to set the tone for the day. Also small group times and transition times will be used to dramatize and to play these calming supportive activities.
