Help me give my students fairy tales STEAM kits to help build critical language and literacy skills, boost creative expression, master early engineering concepts and much more!
Most of the students in my kindergarten class come from low economic homes. They have a variety of learning styles, interests, and needs. Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning how to hold a pencil or draw simple pictures.
Kindergarten is such an exciting group.
Students have a large range of mixed interests and abilities. All my students are excited and eager to learn at school. I want to ensure they have all the necessary materials to grow and learn!
My Project
STEAM is an integrated approach to learning that incorporates science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics into lessons. This project will provide students with the necessary materials to experiment with hands on projects.
STEAM projects give students more opportunities for learning through trial and error.
They will use the fairy tale STEAM kit to combine science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics and incorporate literacy by creating designs based on stories.
Students will animate puppets, answer questions and complete each STEAM challenge. Giving students the opportunity to create these projects will also allow them to gain social and communication skills that will benefit them in the years to come. It is a great way to encourage critical thinking and problem solving.
