During center time they get to select the sand table as one of the areas to play in. They have also used it with water as part of our STEAM lesson for Sink or Float. \r\nWhen I took the top off the sand table the first time, my students were thrilled and couldn't wait to use it. Every morning when they walk in, some of them tell me they want to play at the sand table. Some of them work individually while others work in group to accomplish what they set out to do. \r\nWe plan to use the sand table daily, and for special activities . I'm able to make materials easily accessible for them. They enjoy using the Math and Science center to explore and experiment. One of the first activities was experimenting with magnets and sorting magnetic and non-magnetic objects. \r\n \r\nThey were very excited when the box arrived and kept predicting what was inside. They helped me arrange the materials on the new unit.\r\n\r\nMy plans are to change and add new materials to ignite curiosity and exploration.
