Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you learned about fact families? Students need hands-on manipulatives to help them apply what they have learned in the classroom.

I teach first grade in a big city in Texas at an at-risk school.

My students come from an economically disadvantaged background. My students love learning new skills in Math. Due to limited funding we don't have enough manipulatives that allow my students to apply what they have learned.

My Project

The fact family house pocket chart will allow my students to apply what they have learned in the classroom. Students will be able to choose a card and determine the four related facts. Students will use the number cards to create the four related facts in the pocket chart. Students will be able to work cooperatively with their peers when playing the fact family game. Students will also be able to work independently with this fact family game.

My students would greatly appreciate your donation.

Students will become stronger at math with your help. The fact family house pocket chart and fact family game are manipulatives that I can use for many years to come!
