My Students

My scholars are IB (International Baccalaureate) students at an urban inner-city school. Our curriculum is both diverse and rigorous. We strive to provide high-quality education to students from all walks of life.

My classroom is project-based and scholars lead their own learning with guidance and examples from both other professionals and me in the field.

Fulfilling goals, set by themselves, helps my scholars learn the importance of independence and free thinking.

Our students are taught to be open-minded and balanced in all areas of their lives. They are taught to be communicators, thinkers, inquirers, risk-takers, knowledgeable, and reflective.

My Project

Investigation skills are a key component to being a successful historian. I want my students to leave my class with top-notch critical thinking and research abilities, not just to use when studying history, but in life.

In order to provide engaging and practical opportunities for my students to perform investigations in class, I am asking for a BreakoutEdu kit.

The BreakoutEdu kit and games provide ways to make learning fun, and teach students critical thinking, perseverance, collaboration, communication, and growth mindset. This platform will allow students to work together and listen to each other while delving into our content material.
