This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My TK/K students are developing their skills as civic-minded leaders, writers, and resilient learners. Each student brings their own culture, knowledge, and identity to the class.

Students are born makers.

Our curricular program encourages and promotes critical and innovative thinking to help students be ready for today's global workforce.

My Project

My project is all about incorporating STEM ideas with literature and service learning.

I want to be able to create STEM boxes where students have the opportunities to think critically, work collaboratively, and challenge themselves through various tasks. The goal is to create bins with task cards for students to be makers.

Students will engage in asking questions, imagining, planning, creating, testing, improving, and reflecting on their projects. I want students to know that makers are also: readers, artists, mathematicians, inventors, problem solvers, engineers, leaders, world changers, scientists, and programmers.
