My Students

My students are culturally diverse. Their diversity is their commonality, however. My students don't focus on their differences. They accept each other as they are. This is what makes them special in my eyes.

My students are curious.

They seek to explore the unknown and they prefer to do that in a hands-on manner. A majority of my students don't have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities that support or enhance their education. School is often their only connection to a brighter future.

My Project

My students speak many different languages and come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing they all have in common is a love of art. They are blessed to have a wonderful art teacher in their lives and I want to do whatever I can to support her classroom and strengthen my students' knowledge of different artists and art forms.

My students will be learning about many different artists this year in their art class.

I want to make sure that they have the resources available to them as they conduct their research. Reading about artists in these wonderful picture books will hopefully inspire them to be creators themselves.
