Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students sometimes need a pick-me-up. Not speaking for our school lunch program, but making middle schoolers eat all their lunch can be a challenge. Sometimes they are too "cool" to eat anything at all. I work in a Title I school where if some of my students don't eat their breakfast or lunch at school, they may not have much of a dinner that night. Being our M.S. Health/P.E. teacher, I know this is hard on their bodies.
Help me give my students the nutrition and energy to have something in their bellies even when they are too "cool" to eat lunch.
I always keep supplies of the snacks I have requested due to my students' lack of eating.
I feel that as long as I know what they will actually eat then I will be successful in at least getting something in their stomachs. These snacks will allow me to slyly give students the food they need to make it through their day so they can stay focused and energized! Thanks for your support.
