My Project

I am requesting watercolor painting materials for next school year. I teach watercolor in all of my classes, from 6th grade to 12th grade.

Students thoroughly enjoy painting with watercolor, and I make sure to include several different projects into my curriculum throughout the year.

Typically, I teach students how to paint landscapes. I always showcase the work of Nita Engle, the most famous watercolorist from the area. Watercolor paper is the most expensive, and something I always run out of every year. It's a heavyweight paper, designed to hold a lot of water. Watercolor paintings done on other paper will crumple up upon drying, so it's really important to have the proper paper. Other supplies that I'm requesting include painter's tape, to give the paintings a professional looking border, and brushes. Next year I would like for each student to have their own set of brushes to use for the school year.
