Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom come to school each day with smiles and eager attitudes to learn. These supplies will help me to provide them with an exceptional education!

I teach in a Title I school located in Phoenix. The students who attend come from low socioeconomic homes. My school tries its best to bless each student with as many supplies as we can at the beginning of the year, since the families cannot afford to purchase them on their own. My school also provides free breakfast and lunch to each and every student. The light in the kids' eyes as they learn is something I have never seen before. They truly love coming to school where they are able to learn and be loved at the same time. I want to continue to help give them the education they deserve!

My Project

My class is in need of reusable water bottles to stay hydrated and be ready to learn each and every day. Your donation will go toward each student having their very own water bottle that will stay at school all school year long. It is so important for students to be and stay hydrated throughout the school day. Taking a quick drink break from the water fountain is not allowed as our school is trying to reduce the spread of germs.

Students are currently using a small plastic cup to take a drink of water.

This has them leaving class more frequently. I am hoping that getting water bottles will help to also keep them in class.
