This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our science department does many experiments that require water and ice. The chemistry department does a lot of food labs, one is making homemade ice cream. Sometimes it's hard to get the ice needed to do these experiments, or we run out right before the experiment is done.

Having an ice machine and water cooler would reduce stress for the students and teachers as both items would be readily available.

Sometimes we need large quantities of water at various temperatures. AP environmental science does one experiment about eutrophication that requires lukewarm water for yeast. Hot plates heat the water too quickly and are a hazard as the classrooms are crowded. Having the various temperatures of water would be helpful because it would save having to heat water in an unsafe way. This water cooler offers various temperatures of water to be available.
