Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are active and happy to be in school. Currently, they are about to do their annual State and P.E. Assessments. I would like to request water and sensory items for them while they are completing assessments in class AND on the track/field and gym areas.
The water fountains on-campus are strategically placed, but not always accessible to their specific testing locations.
I am requesting water for them to carry while they complete tests. The waters are purified. The containers are recyclable. During state exams, the sensory items would give them a break between daily assignments and tests.
Overall, these sensory items of LEGOs and shoe tying enhances their learning. By having them carry their own water, it would prevent them from wandering far away from their assigned areas.
