My students want to turn our campus into a Long Term Ecological Research Site. I teach Biology and AP Environmental Science to 9-12 students. Our campus has its own nature area that includes forested trails and a variety of freshwater ecosystems.

My students have the opportunity to do a continuing ecosystem assessment and track changes from year-to-year, and they are also participating in service-learning projects. To be able to collect professional, quality data, the students need equipment.

This equipment will allow my students to collect large amounts of field data in a short amount of time. This data will be shared with the community and with future students working on this project.

You will make it possible for my students to gain a closer connection to their local environment and give them the opportunity to track changes to that environment through time.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
