Water Filtration Project!

My Students

My students have many talents and abilities. They come from many different backgrounds, which gives my classroom a unique culture not seen in other places. We take time every day to celebrate that uniqueness in order for us to learn about each other as well as the material I present in class.

The passion that these young ladies and gentlemen have for learning and sharing is what keeps me going every day.

I truly am blessed to work with such amazing students and help them to grow into young adults. Here at N.A., we are more than a school, we are a family.

My Project

My students are learning about the water cycle and water pollution. They worked very hard on a water cycle poster project at the beginning of this unit and are currently working hard on learning about our oceans!

In order to bring STEM into this unit, I am asking for assistance in getting the materials needed for my students to construct and evaluate a water filtration lab.

Using the sand, gravel, beakers and test kits, students will be able to work through the lab to make polluted water safe again through constructing and evaluating a filter! I am excited to give them this hands-on experience and welcome any assistance in bringing this into my classroom.
