My Project

I am privileged to word in a Title I school with children who have a wide variety of speech and language difficulties. Many of my student also have physical differences and learning challenges. They are either learning the same curriculum as their peers or being exposed to the material. For most students, hands- on, tactile learning, is the most effective way to reach them!

These terrariums will provide the hands-on component to education that is crucial when teaching all children, but especially children with learning differences and disabilities.

Not only will these terrarium kits allow me to plan lessons on plants, life cycles, and other STEM skills; it will provide me with the opportunity to target IEP goals such as following directions, describing, and retelling the steps in a process.
