Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to have a hands-on experience of growing their own flowers and herbs in the classroom. They will have the opportunity to see the difference of growing in a pot versus growing under a light and keep a journal to document their findings.

After we do our scientific findings the students will have the opportunity to take home their plant and continue to watch it grow in their own gardens.

We are working on a life cycle unit in ELA and in science so this will allow them hands-on opportunities.
