My Project

I love creating special days in our classroom where students can have fun practicing the many concepts we learn in first grade. Our 100th day of school is a great time to reflect on this and there is no better way to party than a Glow in the Dark day.

Students will practice math and reading skills with a variety of glow things.

The Astrobrights paper will be used to print math cards, labels, and sight words that will glow. The pipe cleaners will be used by the students to build shapes. the glow in the dark cups will create a building game with sight words. The glow sticks will make a fun ring toss game as the students solve equations, and the slime will be a great reward for all of the students' hard work. No glow day would be complete without us looking the part. The hats and sunglasses will make this day extra special.
