This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our running team is bigger than ever and we are in need of more resources. First, we need more shot put balls to practice shot put with. We currently have 2 that we can use that are 5.5 pounds each. The other ones are 6 pounds but the problem with them is that they deform out of shape with every throw. You have to drop it against the floor many times in order to try to get ball the spherical shape.
We also need stopwatches for our students who can't afford them to use for running practices.
We set mile goals for them and they need to run certain splits during interval training.
