I am a new teacher at a Title I school and will be teaching 6th grade reading. We have roughly 51% Eco Dis kids, and they are extremely hard working students and excelled to great heights. They are productive and advance because they are truly invested in their education.
We are very grateful to have the ability to use technology in our classroom, however our classroom is always in need specific supplies to continue to excel.

My Project
We do continuous vocabulary development as well as journal writing. My class is in need of additional spirals to create interactive notebooks, to be able to increase our hands- on activities.
The students will retain information and advance their knowledge by participating in group activities thus we need folders to build our vocabulary portfolio.
We have access to chrome books daily, however we still take a paper pencil based test the second semester of school so we must utilize an abundance of skills to build a well rounded student. The journal writing allows the student to write about their interest.
