Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our school recently received a grant for a food pantry and laundry room. We are so excited to offer food and laundry services for students who need it the most. The grant covers furniture and appliances for the space, but it is up to us to ensure that we have laundry baskets, detergent, dryer sheets, aprons, gloves, masks, paper towels, and hand sanitizer. School and community volunteers will assist with ensuring that backpacks are filled with food for students to take home over the weekend and keep up with making sure that the student's clothes are washed promptly. We hope to begin accepting appointments by the end of July. Please help us make this project a success!
