This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is located in a high poverty urban area, and students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. I have a diverse group of learners where deaf students, as well as learning disabled students, are included with typical students.
Despite any hardships they may face outside of school, my students come to school ready to learn, and eager to experience new things.
I am always looking for exciting ways to provide my students with differentiated, creative experiences that can help motivate my students and help them make meaningful connections to their learning.
My Project
We have always been taught to wash our hands, but the Coronavirus Pandemic has really brought the importance of hand washing and good hygiene to light.
When we return back to the classroom in the fall, I don't want my students to have to worry about germs.
I would like to stock my classroom with soap, paper towels, tissues and basic cleaning supplies. By not having to worry about germs, we can focus on the most important task, learning.
Please consider donating to my classroom and help my students have everything they need to "Wash Those Hands!"
