it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students face so many challenges, but they realize that education is the vehicle to drive them towards a more promising future. With so many issues, it is my mission as their educator, to take them away and rescue them from their pressing worries through the joys of meaningful experiences and exposure to what life has to offer.
Our school is extremely poverty-stricken, but we don't take this rank as an excuse to have a pity party, but rather as a means of motivation.
We strive to plant seeds of hope and reassure the students that education is the key that unlocks the doors of opportunity and future success.
By understanding that there is more to life than what meets the eye, it is my belief that my students will do what it takes to beat the odds, defy the statistics and embrace the world of education and all it has to offer.
My Project
I have the best students on the planet! They are hardworking and caring. They brighten each moment of my day and I want to do absolutely everything I can to help them succeed.
Living in poverty often means going without, but my students deserve better.
They are in it to win it! I want to provide each of them with gloves to keep them warm as they walk to school this winter. They will also need Chapstick, if you have ever seen a kid during the cold months! I am also requesting deodorant as my fourth graders are growing and sweating more. We are also desperately in need of water bottles. With restrictions, we need a reusable bottle to help quench our thirst each day. Please consider donating, so I can provide these basic needs for my students.
