My Project

I am a middle school educator working with students in grades 6–8 in a high-need community. Many of our students walk to school each day, often in cold or harsh weather, without adequate winter accessories. Others arrive at school hungry and struggle to maintain the energy and focus they need to fully engage in their learning. When students are cold or hungry, it becomes much harder for them to concentrate, participate, and feel successful in the classroom.

I would like to support my students by providing cold-weather accessories and easy-to-grab snacks.

These simple items make a powerful difference. A warm pair of gloves or a small snack can help a student feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to learn. By helping to meet these basic needs, we are directly supporting our students’ ability to focus, participate, and succeed in school.
