Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My special needs students are diverse, determined, and driven. My students are from Chicago and come from hard-working and loving parents. Our school is very family-oriented and has great family involvement. My students will be able to learn if their basic needs are met.
My students may come from a single parent in the home, and not know where their next basic essentials are coming from.
My students are eager and ready to learn. Some have disabilities but are able to work close to their peers with the right resources.
My Project
Growing up in Chicago, I can relate to needing a jacket for winter. I have several students in my school who are in need of a warm jacket for winter. I am requesting warm coats to be given to our neediest students, which are two brothers. Both boys are a joy to have in the classroom!
Help a student stay warm during our cold Chicago winter months.
These children are from families that struggle for daily needs and the expense of winter clothing can be a great burden on them. I want to bring pleasure to a child and aid to a needy family at the same time. Let's keep children warm this winter!
