Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My goal is to provide my students with a warm and welcoming environment. I want to provide my students with opportunities to learn and read as much as possible. Reading help students expand their knowledge. Reading also help students explore places and experiences without leaving out of the classroom. I will use the storage bins to organize our classroom books by reading levels. The bean bag chair will serve as a relaxing place for students to lounge and read. I want my students to feel excited about reading and learning.

The items requested will help motivate my students to read.

Students deserve to experience an environment that is conducive for learning. However, when teaching in a rural area, resources aren't as available as teachers would like. So, providing students with experiences becomes a challenge. Funding of this project will help provide rural area students an opportunity to strengthen their learning through the joy of reading.
