This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are great teambuilders. They love to work together and help each other through hard times. They know what support to give each other, and know how to ask for help when it gets hard. They want each other to be successful in their goals and always help them to get where they need to be.

My students have grown to have a love for learning.

They always want to do their best, and set goals for what else they could do better. They work to achieve these goals and revise them constantly.

My Project

We need new headphones to be able to do the blended learning approach in our class and work at their own pace. When they are working at their own pace, that helps them to be able to watch videos that teach the lessons and replay them as needed to help with understanding. This has been a great approach and really helps differentiate, so that each student is learning and improving! I have a mixed class of both third and fourth graders. So there is a lot of different content needing to be taught at the same time. Without headphones, it will be chaos with all of the noise, and the growth stops or even goes backwards!

With blended learning, students can work at their own pace.

This helps them reach their own goals, and goals that are set for them. One example is in reading. When they are learning about a new grammar lesson, they watch the video to introduce it, but later when they are working on practice problems and get stuck, they go back to the video to remember how to follow that specific rule or answer that type of question.
