My Students
My students love learning in different ways. My classroom is full of eager learners who have many different learning styles. I have many students who are English language learners. Many of my students are visual and tactile learners. My students love learning new things and creating things to show what they learned. They like to share what they have learned with other classes in our school. Science and social studies are the subjects that my students love the most.
My students also love using technology to increase their learning and to share what they learned.
My students continue to amaze me every day with their knowledge and love for learning.
My Project
Have you ever been in a class and been bored? I am hoping that is never the case in my class. However, I do have students who are very high performing in both math and reading. I am looking for resources to supplement our curriculum to help challenge these students. I recently started a Friday Math Challenge group that allows some of my higher level students to explore challenging math problems. I am hoping to use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to help find more math problems to challenge them. So far my students are loving the challenge group, so I can't wait to keep working with them.
The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would allow me to purchases other material and resources that I can use to help push my students to an even higher level.
I have high readers who are looking forward to starting a book club. The gift card would allow me to find supplement work for the book that we are reading.
I am also asking for a stool to use in the classroom when I am conferencing with students. Due to COVID restrictions, I don't really want to sit in other students’ seats to have conferences. The stool would allow me to have my own seat that is easy to carry around the classroom so that I can meet with as many students as possible each day.
