My students need three bean bag chairs to create a cozy learning environment during Daily 5 reading!
This project expired on December 24, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful ACTIVE learning experiences.
My students are creative, ACTIVE and very spontaneous.
They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Many of them receive a free or reduced-price lunch based on their socioeconomic status (approx. 65%). Our students need more attention than ever. Students vary in academic levels, interests, behaviors, learning styles, race, and economic level. All of my students have very unique needs, and learn very differently. I am constantly searching for ways to best help each and every child.
My kiddos need an environment where they feel comfortable to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book! We talk about ways to read a book and places to read a book during Daily 5 instruction. I would like to be able to provide my students with more comfortable options to read!
Bean bag chairs will allow my kiddos the comforts of home while enjoy some of their favorite reading materials at school!
We want to develop a love of reading in children while they are young and impressionable! What better way to do that than to help them get lost in a good book while curled up reading in a bean bag chair?
