My Project

A significant component of student learning involves classroom culture and environment. For some time now, my students have been asking for a class pet, which I feel will greatly promote a positive classroom environment for my students!

My goal for this project is to provide the opportunity for my students learn responsibility as they will be responsible for cleaning, feeding, taking care of and nurturing our future class pet!

A class pet would also provide an opportunity to offer science observations, examples and extensions.

My 5th grade students love to learn and I feel like a classroom pet would bring us even closer together!
