My Project

My students will learn how to prepare nutritious gourmet meals and snacks for the back country and how to pack everything for efficiency. They will also learn how to use different stoves and fuels, etc.

We will prepare different meals using the 5 methods of back country cooking with proper nutrition to sustain the energy needed on the trail.

Most of my students have never been outside their little communities, let alone being out in nature. Many are on free or reduced lunch and we are a Title 1 school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
