This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading opens up a world of possibilities. Students learn new things and travel to new places through what they read. My students have a hard time finding a book that interests them or they say they don't like reading.
The books I am requesting are of high interest and will allow my students to read what they like and not what is required reading.
These books will help my students have fun reading. Having fun while reading not only builds an avid reader over time, but increases vocabulary and improves writing skills. My students need choices of what to read and have a validation of what they are interested in.
