This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal of this project is to provide students with journals in which students can write core memories and keep keepsakes from their STEM educational trip to New Zealand.

Journals will provide students the opportunity to reflect and learn about themselves a little more.

By giving students time to journal their journey, they are able to slow down and reflect on the amazing day they had. They can reflect on the challenges they may have overcome or the delicious food they tried for the first time. Also, by writing their experiences in their journal, their brain will create powerful connections with the information, allowing them to remember it for longer.

It allows students to be creative. They can dress up their journal with pictures, sketches, color, washi tape, or anything to help make their journal fun and memorable. By the end of the trip, students will have a souvenir scrapbook, a physical product that they can show to their friends and family or future generations to read and marvel at.
