Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love to see the excitement on my students faces as they come into school every morning. They walk down the hall with a pep in their step; ready to conquer the world and any lesson I present to them. I take pride in a colorful, organized and inviting classroom. I have had multiple projects funded to help me achieve my goal of a welcoming classroom for all students!

However, the walk down the hall to our classroom lacks the same inviting feeling.

The walls are a bland creamy off white with a blue accents around the doors. I would love to create a fun, conversation piece on the walls that lead to our room. I want to inspire my students (and all the students who walk past our room) to be excited about the learning journey that is waiting for them each day.
