This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students enjoy working out. During our indoor fitness unit, many of my students want to walk on a treadmill. However, due to large class size, lack of space, and expensive treadmills, my students choices are limited.

A "walking pad" provides a convenient and accessible way to engage my students in cardiovascular health, endurance, and overall fitness levels with minimal space and cost.

Additionally, using the walking pad will help motivate and empower my students to stay active. It is also a great way for them to de-stress and boost their mood, which can positively impact their academic performance and overall well-being.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
