Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Staying healthy after the pandemic has been a struggle for many people. My students' struggle with being active has affected their motivation and self-esteem, especially the girls. We are in the process of putting a wellness room together where students can sign up to exercise before and after school. To make this possible we need a treadmill and a few other exercise machines. We are working on getting one at a time until we have a room fit for a total body workout.

Having a treadmill will give my students an opportunity to work out independently.

Exercise has a significant positive effect on people’s emotional well-being. Please help me make this a reality!
